The castle and the International Sculpture park in Jakovlje
Sculptures
Today the Park has about 60 works by authors from Croatia and abroad. They were created during the sixteen years of art colony which supplied the Park with works from all generations and spanning a wide range of individual expression and poetic approach. The Park has become a kind of a northern counterpart to the older Mediterranean Sculpture Symposium in Labin in the Istria region. But while the latter is dedicated to the stone, the Colony in Jakovlje is from its beginnings programmatically committed to the diversity of approaches. Sculptures are placed around the castle and on a gentle slope before it, "breathing" freely in the open space with their form, material and concept.
Authors of sculptures are (in the alphabetical order): Petar Barišić, Marina Bauer, Mirsad Begić (Slovenia), Neven Bilić, Ivona Biočić Mandić, Peruško Bogdanić, Zlatko Bourek, Zlatko Čular, Josip Diminić, Nikola Džaja, Mirjana Drempetić Hanžić, Vladimir Gašparić Gapa, Raul Goldoni, Stjepan Gračan, Zvonimir Gračan, Drago Grgas Beli, Đurđica Gudlin Zanoški, Oleg Hržić, Georgina Juriša, Alem Korkut, Ksenija Kantoci, Paola Korošec (Slovenia), Daniel Kovač, Dora Kovačević, Željko Kovačić, Ivan Kožarić, Denis Krašković, Ante Kuduz, Milena Lah, Branko Lepen, Zvonimir Lončarić, Siniša Majkus, Marin Marinić, Valerije Michieli, Mladen Mikulin, Jadranka Mlinar, Alan Novoselec, Ratko Petrić, Maja Postonjski, Nika Radić, Vanja Radauš, Ante Rašić, Krešimir Rod, Branko Ružić, Hanibal Salvaro, Mirjana Sever, Franz Stahler (Germany), Ljubomir Stahov, Marina Stoponja, Judita Šercar, Ivan Tuđa, Ante Van der Jagt (Netherlands), Sandra van Karssen (Netherlands), Tjerrie Verhellen (Belgium), Branko Vlahović, Tomislav Vončina, Miro Vuco, Šime Vulas, Robert Zdarilek, Željko Zima.
